To get a scooter…

I passed my moped driving license three weeks ago and now that it’s come down to it I have to buy one. This has caused a certain amount of stress and favours. My granda kindly lent me the money for the actual thing, oh and a helmet, but then there’s insurance and registration and petrol to worry about, and I also.. have to drive it back.
In the UK to get a scooter license you need to have I think 10 driving lessons and a theory test. Over here all you need is to be over 15 years old and pass the theory. Well you know what they say what’s good in theory doesn’t always work out in practise. I’ve been on two scooters since I passed my test and survived. To get my shiny new scooter back I’ll have to be in real traffic, so it’s a bit of a worry, but before that I need to get the bloody thing which is also a worry. Hopefully by this evening it’ll all be groovy and that horrible feeling in the pit of my stomach will have vanished because.. I have a new scooter, I didn’t crash and burn and I had enough money for everything!

But what are the roads like in Finland? It’s too scary to ride one in the UK without a full suit of armour.
Come to think of it, driving in Aberdeenshire in anything other than a tank is pretty scary at the best of times….

The roads are pretty quiet but like everywhere there’s some pretty scary places. I got my scooter yesterday and so far there’s been two technical problems with it. The battery was dead at first (cos it had been in storage) and the break light isn’t working. Cheap Chinese scooters are fun ;P
Oh and I banged into my mate today.. good healthy expensive fun :D
