What the hell are you doing and why aren’t you updating your plugins you lazy swine?
Well…I’ll start with the plugin stuff.. I require some help.. from some kind soul.. who can explain in human terms, HOW THE HELL DO I USE THE WORDPRESS SVN REPOSITORY? If you have a looky here, you’ll see that I somehow managed to get my plugin up there.. and people are downloading it etc. etc. What I can’t do is update it or get my other plugins there. I did install an SVN client but then how to I make it attach itself to a different folder, like say I want to move my local plugin folder? I can’t find any ‘SVN For Dummies’ sites so it’s holding me back. I’m a coder not a programmer dont-cha-know so this is way above my head. So if someone could give me a hand please get in touch and I’ll be your best bud, will link to your site and praise you to high heaven :)
As for what I’ve been doing.. well I’ve been working full-time and family has been over here and it’s been rather hellish for a while. Am looking forward to my mum, her boyfriend and my sister coming over (they’re arriving on the 21st) and am simply trying to cope till then cos I’ll get four days off!
I have also been working on some new ideas and a new theme for this site. I’d like to get my plugins into Wordpress Extend so that I can deal with support requests/bugs easier but so far it’s been headaches all the way. Also I sort of made content for this site so that people would visit.. so if people don’t come for the plugins then why will they come? :S It’s a no-win situation, and I’ve just realised that yet again I’ve gone back to the geeky talk pfft.
Lauri got into uni! Well technically he got into two uni’s but he got into the one nearest here which is brilliant cos he doesn’t have to go live in student dorms and come home and weekends.. so he’s stuck with me, nae luck Lauri.
The dog is on a diet. The vet said he’s got too much weight on his bones so the poor wee bugger is out getting a lot more exercise and a lot less nice things. He turned two this year but he was neutered at six months so the vet says that has a lot to do with it also. Anyway poor Scamp, gets nothing fine.
Well I’ve rambled on for long enough me thinks, any longer and I’ll have to page it. I really hope someone gets in contact either through email or through comments or something. Ta-taaaa for now!
P.S We’ve got a paid gig next Saturday! Yayyyy.

I’ve just developed my own wp plugin and had exactly the same problem. SVN is a pain to use and wordpress.org really doesn’t explain the process well. I see you’ve got it working now because I’ve just downloaded your short url plugin. It looks great except that it allows MYSQL injection. Escape those input strings!
Also I would say that when a redirect link is not found it should trigger a 404 error page not redirect to the blog homepage.
