So I’ve been playing around with Skype Symbian the past few days on my E90 and bar a few IM’s haven’t really used it so I couldn’t tell you anything about voice quality if you want to know about that check out this post I found. What did happen however was that in the two half-days I’ve had Skype running my battery has gone from full to 1 bar during one working day i.e eight hours. I’d blame it on the fact that my phone is almost two but the battery was replaced in January and was in getting serviced then too. I wonder how fast my battery would go down while I was in a call? It’s probably the 3G handling of the E90 that’s sucking my phone dry.. time to upgrade me thinks. Anyone else had similar problems?

The Party Tree

The title of the image will probably give it away. I downloaded Lord of the Rings online last weekend and have been having a great time exploring and just generally enjoying myself. The graphics are awesome and surprisingly there’s not really any lag although I’ve had a server timeout a couple of times. Haven’t really met anyone in there so I wonder if they’re all hiding in Gondor or Mordor. I think it’s almost certain that I’ll have to upgrade my character (i.e pay a monthly fee) cos it’s just that good ;)

Here’s a couple of pics comparing the snow between Scotland and Finland a couple of days ago. The UK’s been in an upheaval since the first flakes fell in December. Luckily we’re used to it here. Things are going well here, looking forward to our gig tomorrow and the weekend is always welcome. Work today was a bit crap cos was trying to make pretty permalinks but the CMS my company uses is a pain in the arse to code for, so I was cussing it left right and centre, of course I had to keep shtoom or else everyone will hate me cos no-one wants to hire/work with… a bitch… (~~even~~ especially if it is their crappy code causing the problems ;o)

Judging by the insane amount of emails I’ve received since the site went down (all of 0) I’d say you were really missing me. I decided to completely obliterate all traces of the old site cos it had been tortured enough and the code was holier than a very holey thing. Along with the new year/new site I of course had to come up with a new design. It’s darker than before and also simpler so I’m aiming to actually stick content in this one as oppose to letting it all go mouldy while I code goodness into the back-end that you’ll never see anyway :S I’ve recently started a three month stint in a web design company and so far been learning lots (mainly about Javascript and AJAX) and also some really pernickity things about browser compatibility and basic design principles that I wouldn’t have even thought was important. It’s been pretty cool working there and getting to nerd all day long. Only thing is I don’t have much energy when I get home (although I still managed to churn this site out ;p).

Since I should mention my previous PHP plugins.. they’re mouldy, so don’t use them and don’t moan at me cos they’re mouldy. If I update them it’ll be cos I want to and since I offered them for nowt you grumblers can get to buggery :D. Anyhoo it’s 23:30pm here just now so I should probably go get some kip although I’ve just thought of something else I should do to this site..
