I have decided…
I’m buying a new phone and new package. The phone I have currently is alright but it has weird text prediction and the heat sensitive buttons are forever closing things that I didn’t want closed. Also my bills are insane for calling (its not that I phone that much but the connection charge blah blah all adds up :S). So.. I’m gonna get a cool phone, pay an arm and a leg every month and with a bit of luck that’ll be the only charge cos I’ll get a free minutes package as well as a text one. I’ve decided on the Nokia E90. It’s over a year old but I reckon with all those features I’ll never be lacking again. It’s also got good connectivity support as well as synch support and hell.. it’s Nokia, much better than this Samsung crap. So.. tomorrow I’m gonna nip off to the city to go to the shop, sort it out and hopefully have a new phone.. if they don’t have them in stock then I’ll order it online and wait just like everyone else.. with a bit of luck I’ll be writing blogs on my new phone by this time tomorrow night.
In other news.. I graduated on the 31st of May. It was a rather nifty affair (see the photo above) in which I got a sailor hat and a nice wee hardback folder proving that I’m a brainy bugger. The school also found my missing AICE paper (not the final diploma but better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick) and bundled it all in there. So I am officially free from school and exams etc. etc.
Just before school finished I had a few essays and things to write up to get courses and stuff and I also started a nifty new job. After school ended I started my summer job which is the same job really only 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, instead of a few hours a day a few days a week. The job is being a personal assistant to a disabled person which is challenging, interesting and highly amusing. It’s good that my employer has a dark sense of humour or we’d never get through the day :)

Pwahhh… goes my brain..
I must be a real massochist. Despite all previous knowledge on the evils of forums these days, I still go there and post on occassion. Why oh why do people feel the need to bring everyone down? You post one damn little thing and it’s stretched and skewed beyond recognition and you’re flamed so much that a cold shower just isn’t going to put out the flames and your arse is scorched. People are mean online..

Well.. we moved flat and since then have been up to our necks in ummm curtain hemming, light fittings, plants, pets and furniture or to be more accurate.. I have been up to my neck in those things. It’s great having so much space and now almost everything is where it should be. The flat looked pretty bare when we moved in and got the furniture in place so of course I had to fill it up with plants.
I bought three ivy plants (two little one huge), one big brown spider plant type thing and I got a nice green houseplant that has red growth which goes green when the leaves grow which is pretty nice. My citris tree is considering giving up the ghost but I have some of it’s seeds and leaves planted and with any luck (no chance) something will sprout. My little ivys ivies?? are doing really well but the big one has decided that it doesn’t like its conditions and the leaves at the top have browned and died. I re-potted tonight and gave it some fertiliser so hopefully it won’t die like every other ivy I’ve ever had.. oh and I moved it into a sunnier spot..
Everytime I blog these days it’s about my plants.. sad sad sad. Scamp and Muhi are adjusting to their new home nicely and the budgies and Tortuga couldn’t care less where they are as long as there’s food.
I kind of have a new job. It’s as a personal assistant to a disabled girl. She’s got a wicked sense of humour so I think we’re getting along well. It’s really interesting. I’d never thought about doing this kind of work mainly cos I thought you’d need 7 years of uni education in this country to even be considered for it. Turns out, you don’t.. so that’s nice.
Still no word on my AICE diploma although the lawyer was supposed to be writing an email, that was a few weeks ago and haven’t heard anything.. also I still have some unfinished courses at school and the headmaster was supposed to call me three weeks ago and… haven’t heard anything. Think I’ll give him a call tomorrow. I hate when people say they’ll call or email and then don’t, although I realise they’re busy people but you’d think that after three weeks.. well.
So.. all in all life is on the up albeit slowly going up. We recently got our printed demo’s sent and it’s very exciting to see all our names in proper print. We had a gig last week in a secondary school and that went alright apart from me screwing up a few times, I really should practice. Yeahh and my grandparents are coming here soon, that’s exciting too. We have a gig while they’re here so it’ll have to be good.
A double bed was ordered today for us so soon we won’t have to sleep elbow to back anymore and even then it’s only elbow to back when the dog’s not on the bed.. when he’s there it’s more cold wet nose and lanky legs to back. I also ordered paint today to paint the kitchen and hopefully the living room cos it’s a bit mank.
My scooter Beryl is back in for repairs under her guarantee. Bloody indicators stopped working :S not good. The guarantee is only for a year and this is the second time already. Apparently there’s a queue at the mechanics so it could take another few weeks.
I should go to bed now.. almost 2am and I’m rambling like a boy scout in autumn. Anyhoo good night and stay away from cider and spirits!

Studies by Harley
The two items in the title really shouldn’t go together but that’s how my brain works. I hate studying especially when I know it’s too late (i.e the night before the exam) for me to actually learn anything, so I decided to do a spot of gardening. Oh and also a spot of picture taking of [[my plants]]. Sad though it may seem there is now a page on this site dedicated to my darling plants. They go through so much torture and pain that I decided they needed a page of their own, ooh and a category of their own.
Spring is in the air (sort of) but snow is still on the ground so technically I suppose it’s still winter :S Anyway.. I like watching things grow and with any luck all of my plants will start that growing business soon.
I have a psychology exam tomorrow which I’ll probably fail. Too many stupid words and I’m too stupid and this isn’t an exam I can just blab my way out of cos it’s in Finnish and blabbering in Finnish is reserved for native Finns once they get drunk. Sober you can’t get a word out of them. At least it’ll all be over this time tomorrow. No more exams.. no more proper school. I may have to do a few courses but they’re not even on offer next school period. Well.. booger it. I think an early night and early start is in order. Shower… PJ’s… bed. Yep.
